La Scuola Primaria di Bahrgel è stata occupata dai soldati nel 2010. Per questo motivo è stata trasferita in un'altra parte di Bahrgel, ma non è ancora stata terminata. Nel mese di aprile di quest'anno, Save the Children in South Sudan (SCISS) insieme al World Food Programme (WFP) hanno aiutato la comunità a costruire le strutture della scuola, dando la possibilità ai ragazzi di frequentari le lezioni, dopo essere stati spostati dalla loro scuola.
Le organizzazioni hanno portato 500 fasci d'erba, 800 di bambù, 20 lastre di ferro e una borsa di chiodi, lunghi e corti. Nel mese di giugno, Save the Children è ritornato a Bahrgel con il seguente programma: 1. L'importanza dell'educazione, 2. Il Programma di Apprendimento Accellerato (ALP) e 3. L'educazione femminile. Tutti questi punti sono stati discussi insieme alla comunità locale di Bahrgel e ai capi del villaggio.
L'educazione femminile deve essere promossa, per via del fatto che per le ragazze è molto più difficile frequentare la scuola rispetto ai maschi, e l'ALP (che si svolge di sera) deve essere promosso perché molte persone non hanno la possibilità di accedere alle lezioni durante l'orario mattutino. La differenza tra l'ALP e l'Educazione per Adulti sta nel fatto che la prima è solamente per coloro che hanno tra i 12 e i 20 anni, mentre la seconda è per quelle persone che hanno raggiunto i 35 anni di età.
Il Governo, insieme a diverse ONG, ha implementato anche il Early Child Development Programme. Il suo scopo è quello di dare la possibilità alle persone che non possono permettersi di pagare la retta scolastica di andare a scuola. Tutti questi programmi aiutaranno le persone a investire nel loro futuro.

In the month of April of this year, the International Organization Save the Children in Southern Sudan (SCISS), together with the World Food Programme (WFP), helped the local community to build the structure of the school, giving the possibility to the children to attend the classes after they had been displaced from their own school.
The organizations brought 500 bundles of grass, 800 bundles of bamboo, 20 iron sheets and one bag of nails, both long and short white nails. In the month of June, Save the Children has come again to Bahrgel with the following agenda: 1. Importance of education, 2. Accelerated Learning Programme (ALP) and 3. Girls education. The above mentioned issues have been discussed together with the local community, including the chiefs.
Girls education must be promoted because of the fact that usually for girls it is much more difficult to attend school, and ALP (which is carried out in the evening) must be promoted due to the fact that some people have no possibility to attend morning classes. The difference between ALP and Adult Education is that the Accelerated Learning Programme is only for those who are from 12 up to 20 years old, while the other Programme is for those aged more than 35 years old.
The Government has also added the Early Child Development Programme, running it together with different NGOs, in order to give the possibility to the people who are not able to pay the school fees. These Programmes will help the people to invest in their future lives.
